Saying #27 — “In Rising,
the Righteous Rise Again”
the Righteous Rise Again”
π Proverbs 24:15–16
“Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous;Do not destroy his resting place; For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.”
πΏ INTRODUCTION
— The Strength to Rise Again
Women of Wisdom,
Saying #27 is a song of courage for every woman who has ever stumbled, fallen, or felt flattened by life.
It is not a warning — it is a war cry of hope.
Lady Wisdom lifts her voice:
“The righteous fall…
but they always rise again.
Your fall is not your ending —
your rising is your identity.”
This is not a story about perfection.
It is a story about resilience, grace, restoration, and spiritual bounce-back.
πΌ MEANING OF THE SAYING
⭐ 1. “Do not lie in wait… do not destroy…”
The enemy tries to weaken God’s daughters through discouragement, failure, regret, and shame.
⭐ 2. “The righteous fall seven times…”
Seven means:
repeatedly, consistently, more than once.
The righteous are not exempt from falling —
they’re empowered to recover.
⭐ 3. “…and rises again.”
This is the heartbeat of the verse:
Falling happens. Staying down is optional.
Grace lifts.
Wisdom strengthens.
God restores.
⭐ 4. “But the wicked stumble in calamity.”
The difference is not in who falls…
but in who gets back up.
π “THE COURTYARD OF RISING”
Lady Wisdom brings four women into a courtyard with a soft mat at the center.
She instructs each woman to step onto it.
Suddenly, life-symbols fall around them:
pressure, mistakes, disappointment, criticism.
Each one responds differently.
π Woman 1 — The Slow Fall, the Steady Rise
She falls gently, almost silently.
Others might not even notice.
But inside, she battles discouragement.
Lady Wisdom lifts her chin:
“It’s okay to rise slowly —
just don’t stay down.”
She stands with quiet courage.
π Woman 2 — The Heavy Fall, the Thoughtful Rise
She falls with weight —
because she carries much in her heart.
Her thoughts swirl.
She feels the fall deeply.
Lady Wisdom sits with her:
“Feel it — then rise.
Your depth does not disqualify you;
it strengthens your rising.”
She stands with new clarity.
π Woman 3 — The Surprised Fall, the Joyful Rise
She falls suddenly, laughing awkwardly, brushing herself off.
But the laughter hides the sting.
Lady Wisdom touches her shoulder:
“Joy does not mean pretending.
Rise with honesty —
your joy will return as you rise.”
She stands with renewed sincerity.
❤️ Woman 4 — The Hard Fall, the Fierce Rise
She falls sharply, frustrated at herself.
She wants to rise instantly, but pride holds her down.
Lady Wisdom steps forward:
“The strongest women rise best through surrender —
not self-will.”
She exhales, softens, and stands powerfully.
When all four women stand, Lady Wisdom declares:
“Falling did not define you.
Rising did.
And every rise makes you wiser, stronger, steadier, and more secure in God.”
π· REFLECTION THOUGHTS
Ask yourself:
π Where have I risen slowly but faithfully?
π Where is God helping me rise from something I felt deeply?
π Where do I need to stop pretending and rise with honesty?
❤️ Where do I need to surrender so I can rise fully?

Goodnight everyone,
ReplyDeleteI hope you all had a great day. The part that resonated with me was, "The righteous are not exempt from falling — they’re empowered to recover."
This was a great reminder that when we stumble, we don't need to be riddled with shame, guilt or condemnation - we have an Advocate that we can call upon and His spirt that dwells inside of us, empowering us to get back up and continue running our race faithfully. I'm thankful that I am not defined by my falls, but my identity is in the One who can lift me back up :)
Thank you Sister Pens. Hope everyone sleeps well!

ReplyDeleteSuch a timely message! I really needed to hear this wisdom. Yesterday I had a situation where I felt like I 'fell/failed'. I made a minor mistake but my melancholic tendency of self-criticism and over analyzing went into overdrive! The wisdom from this passage that stood out to me in that situation was, "Falling happens. Staying down is optional." The words, "She falls with weight — because she carries much in her heart. Her thoughts swirl. She feels the fall deeply. Lady Wisdom sits with her: "Feel it — then rise."
My thoughts were really 'swirling' around, but Lady Wisdom's words, " Feel it - then rise" really spoke to me. It's ok to 'feel', but I need to rise up and not stay down in the pit of despair.
Good night Sisters:
