✝️ Understanding the Book of Leviticus (Chapters 1–27)

✝️ Understanding the Book of Leviticus (Chapters 1–27)

A Christ-Centered Overview with Chapter Guide & NT Connections

🌿 Big Picture (Why Leviticus Matters)

Leviticus answers one essential question:

How can a holy God live among imperfect people?

God’s answer is not distance—but atonement.

Leviticus is not mainly about rules; it is about relationship.
It shows God making a way for His redeemed people to live close to Him, and it prepares us to understand the cross of Christ.

Every sacrifice, priest, and holy day points forward to Jesus:

  • The offerings show the cost of sin → Jesus is the final sacrifice

  • The priests mediate for the people → Jesus is our Great High Priest

  • The Day of Atonement removes sin → Jesus atones once for all

  • The call to holiness → a transformed life through the Spirit

Leviticus helps us see why Jesus came and what His death accomplished.

🧭 How to Use This Guide

This guide is meant to support your reading, not replace Scripture.
The goal is to keep God’s Word central while reducing discouragement.

📖 Read → 📘 Reference → ✝️ Reflect

1️⃣ Read the actual chapter first
Even if it feels slow, unfamiliar, or confusing. Don’t stop to analyze—just read.

2️⃣ Read the one-sentence chapter guide
This helps you grasp the main idea and say,
“Ah—this is what the chapter was about.”

3️⃣ Read the New Testament connection/reference
Notice how the chapter points forward to Jesus.

4️⃣ Close with one reflection question
Ask yourself:
What does this teach me about God?

You don’t need to understand everything in one reading.
Understanding grows with faithful consistency.

PERFECT FEBRUARY PROVERBS - FEBRUARY 1-7

Welcome to Perfect February Proverbs!

This month is not about doing everything perfectly — it’s about staying positioned in God’s Word, one day at a time.

Our goal is not volume — our goal is connection with God.

Most days will take about 10–15 minutes.  Time well spent with the Word!

How This Works

Each day:

  • Read the passages listed.

  • Privately journal one thing God shows you from the OT / NT / Psalms.

  • Choose ONE Proverbs sentence that connects most with you and set it aside.

👉 On Saturdays, post your collected Proverbs sentences (paragraph or point-form).

If you fall behind, don’t try to catch up — simply begin again with today.
Grace is part of the journey.
