🌿 Weekly Overview

Deuteronomy 25–34, Moses finishes speaking to the people. He reminds them of God’s faithfulness, blesses the tribes, and then his life comes to a close. It is a moment of both reflection and transition. Then, in Joshua 1–4, a new leader rises, and God’s people begin to step into the Promised Land. The call is clear: be strong, be courageous, and trust the Lord who goes before you.

In the New Testament, John 20–21 reveals the resurrection of Jesus and His appearances to His disciples—bringing hope, restoration, and renewed calling. Then Acts 1–5 begins, and we see the early church come alive through the power of the Holy Spirit. What Jesus began, the Spirit now empowers His people to continue.

The Psalms (88–94) take us through deep emotion—honest cries, questions, and declarations of trust. They remind us that even when we don’t understand everything, we can still lean on God’s justice, faithfulness, and care.

“The mind of a person plans his way,
but the Lord directs his steps.”

💛 Exhortation:

  • Planning is not wrong—but trusting your plan more than God is. “Directs” means that God establishes, orders, and guides step by step. Sometimes we want the whole picture, but God gives direction one step at a time.

“A person’s steps are directed by the Lord.
How then can anyone understand their own way?”

Proverbs 21:2

“Every way of a person is right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines the hearts.”

💛 Exhortation:

  • We can easily justify ourselves—but God sees deeper. “Examines” means He weighs, evaluates, and discerns the true condition of the heart. This is an invitation to honesty before Him, not hiding from Him.

 Reflection Question:
What might God be showing me about my heart?

“Lord, search my heart and help me to…”

🌿 Pause & Reflect
Invite the Lord to search your heart and respond honestly to what He reveals.
