WISDOM IN CIRCLES - March 1-7 (DAY 60-66)

Women of Wisdom,
Welcome to March!

A Month of Listening and Wisdom

As we step into March, we do so with intention.
This month invites us to slow down, listen well, and grow in wisdom — through God’s Word and through one another.

Through our daily OT / NT / Psalm readings and weekly Proverbs reflections, we are training our hearts to hear God and respond in obedience. There is no race to finish the Bible in a year. Some days you may read all three portions; other days, only a few verses from a Psalm, the New Testament, or the Old Testament — and that is still faithfulness.

What matters most is not how much we read, but how we respond. God honors a heart that returns to His Word daily and applies what is learned.

“The one who listens to Me shall live securely.”
Proverbs 1:33

“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.”
James 1:22

Listening Styles Reflection

A Prayerful Self-Awareness Exercise

As we continue this week, we turn our attention not only to what we read, but how we listen — to God, to His Word, and to one another.

This reflection is not a test and not about labels. It is an invitation to awareness, humility, and growth.

Instructions

Read each statement slowly and prayerfully.

  • For private reflection, notice which statements resonate most with you

  • Choose 2–3 statements that best reflect how you usually listen

  • Ask God what He may be inviting you to grow in

When your Fellowship Circle meets:

  • Ask one another which statements they feel may reflect you

  • Then share which statements you believe describe you most often

  • Listen with grace — this is about growth, not judgment

Reflection Statements

  1. I tend to pause and think carefully before responding, preferring to listen fully first.

  2. When I hear something from God or others, my instinct is to act on it right away.

  3. I listen closely to tone, emotions, and what may be unspoken in a conversation.

  4. Certain parts of a message stand out to me more than others, while some details may fade.

  5. Some topics cause me to feel guarded or resistant before I fully hear what is being said.

  6. My mind can wander or jump ahead, even when I genuinely want to listen well.

  7. I naturally evaluate and weigh what I hear to see if it aligns with truth.

  8. I desire to learn and grow, even when what I hear challenges or stretches me.

  9. I listen attentively so I can support, encourage, and build others up.

  10. When God speaks, my heart posture is willingness, even if obedience feels uncomfortable.

Proverbs for the Week — Listening with Wisdom

March 1–7 (Days 60–66)

Each day, read the Proverb listed below directly from your Bible.
Then prayerfully ponder the question.

  • Day 60 (Mar 1)  Proverbs 1:5
Ponder: What am I being invited to learn as I listen today?

  • Day 61 (Mar 2)  Proverbs 2:2
Ponder: What would it look like to listen more intentionally today?

  • Day 62 (Mar 3)  Proverbs 3:5
Ponder: Where do I need to trust God instead of relying on my own understanding?

  • Day 63 (Mar 4)  Proverbs 4:20
Ponder: What distractions might be affecting how I listen to God?

  • Day 64 (Mar 5)  Proverbs 8:34
Ponder: What blessing might come from listening more closely today?

  • Day 65 (Mar 6)  Proverbs 10:17
Ponder: How am I responding to instruction or correction right now?

  • Day 66 (Mar 7)  Proverbs 12:15
Ponder: Whose godly counsel should I be open to hearing this week?

Saturday Reflection — Listening with Wisdom

As you reflected on this week’s Proverbs, what did you notice about your listening?
(Choose one—or share in your own words.)

  • I realized I often listen quickly, but not always wisely (Prov. 1:5).

  • God invited me to slow down and listen more intentionally (Prov. 2:2; 4:20).

  • I noticed distractions affecting how I hear God (Prov. 4:20).

  • I became aware of resistance to instruction or correction (Prov. 10:17; 12:15).

  • I was reminded of the value of godly counsel (Prov. 12:15).

  • I felt encouraged to trust God more than my own understanding (Prov. 3:5).

  • I’m still pondering and sitting with what I’ve read (Prov. 8:34).

💜 Thank you for journeying through this week together. May the Lord continue to shape our hearts to listen with wisdom as we walk into the days ahead.

Thank you, ladies.
