📘 July 31 - Week 2 - Day 2: Tearing Down Walls

Week 2 of 6 — Journeying Through Ephesians
📖 Ephesians Chapter 2 | July 30–August 1

📖 DAY 2 – Thursday, July 31

Welcome back, Wisdom Seekers!

As we move deeper into Ephesians 2, we reflect on how God's grace humbles us and softens our view of others. When we realize we didn’t earn our place in God’s family, it changes how we value those around us.

🔍 Focus Verse:
Ephesians 2:8–9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God—not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

💬 Questions:

Before – Did you assume that your way of doing things—processing life, showing love, solving problems—was “right”?
Did you struggle to see value in others’ approaches?

Now – How is God humbling you through Ephesians 2?
How are you learning to honour others’ uniqueness instead of criticizing or correcting them?

Guided Prompts to Help You Answer the Above Questions:

Before:

  • Did I criticize people’s pace, passion, or perspective?

  • Did I expect others to be more like me to be “acceptable”?

  • Did I believe my temperament was the most effective?

Now:

  • Am I seeing that God uses different personalities for different purposes?

  • What am I learning about God’s creativity through others?

  • How am I starting to build bridges rather than defend my preferences?

📝 After spending time with today’s question, kindly drop one word in the comments:
 Completed – if you’ve finished today’s reflection
Considering – if you’re still working through it

🧠 Quote of the Day:
“God’s masterpiece includes brushstrokes that don’t look like yours.”

🙏🏽 Temperament-Based Prayer:

Choleric:
Lord, break the pride that sees only my way as right. Teach me to pause and honor the wisdom You placed in others.

Sanguine:
Jesus, slow me down enough to truly listen and learn from those who don’t express like I do. Let my joy make space for depth.

Melancholic:
Father, release me from the need to correct or perfect others. Help me find beauty in difference, not discomfort.

Phlegmatic:
God, remind me that my voice matters—but so does theirs. Help me embrace diverse paths without retreating into silence.

🌸 Closing Encouragement:
When we choose humility, we gain a fuller picture of God's family. Let’s honour each part of the body.

📝 Don’t forget:
Prepare your responses and have them ready to post on Saturday.
Sunday is our day to interact with each other’s reflections.

🌟 A terrific Thursday to you!
