July 21 - Proverbs Interaction - The Royal Temperament Trial

Hello WS Seekers,

We have made it the end of three weeks!  Thank you Lord.

Welcome to the Courtroom of Proverbs 21, where motives are examined, justice is upheld, and every action is weighed not by opinion—but by the King of Kings. (Sound like a TV show, eh).

Today, your temperament is on the witness stand.

This isn’t a court of condemnation. It’s a court of holy refinement.

God isn’t looking for your perfection—He’s searching your heart, your intentions, and your direction.

⚖️ Case Summary: Proverbs 21 Themes

Proverbs 21 places great emphasis on:

  • God's sovereignty over plans and actions (v.1–2)

  • Justice and righteousness over ritual (v.3)

  • Pride, hasty speech, and wicked motives (v.4–7)

  • How our conduct reflects our character—especially in times of pressure

๐Ÿงพ Your Courtroom Reflection: 5 Divine Hearings

For each “hearing,” you’ll be asked to review the evidence (scripture), examine your temperament, and write your verdict (what God is revealing).  You do not have to share it.

๐Ÿชž Hearing 1: The Motive Examination

“Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord examines the hearts.”
— Proverbs 21:2

Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ Have I justified something outwardly that God is convicting inwardly?

⚖️ Hearing 2: The Sacrifice Overruled

“To do righteousness and justice is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice.”
— Proverbs 21:3

Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ Have I been “doing spiritual things” but avoiding the hard work of doing what’s right?

๐Ÿ—ฃ️ Hearing 3: The Pride Charge

“Haughty eyes and a proud heart—the lamp of the wicked—is sin.”
— Proverbs 21:4

Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ How does pride show up in my temperament—through control, withdrawal, self-pity, or comparison?

๐Ÿ”Š Hearing 4: The Talk Testimony

“Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.”
— Proverbs 21:23

Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ What tone or talk pattern do I need to surrender: sarcasm, over-talking, harshness, gossip, or silence?

๐Ÿ•Š️ Hearing 5: The Heart-Walk Inquiry

“A person who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness, and honor.”
— Proverbs 21:21

Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ Am I actively pursuing righteousness—or just avoiding wrongdoing?

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝ‍⚖️ Your Assignment in the Royal Courtroom:

  1. Choose the Hearings that speak most to your temperament.  Share them in the comments below.  No need to share your answers.  You examine your heart.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Let the courtroom be a place of clarity—not condemnation.

๐Ÿ‘‘ Final Word from the Throne:

The King isn’t just looking for right actions—He’s weighing the why behind them.

You don’t need to argue your case before God. You just need to come honestly, confess humbly, and follow faithfully.

Remember, you’re not being judged for your past—but invited to walk righteously from this moment forward.

๐ŸŽฏ Today’s prayer:
“Lord, weigh my heart… and lead me in a way that pleases You.”

Wishing you a marvellous Monday, my sisters.

  3. Good day Ladies,

Two hearings spoke deeply to my heart:
    Hearing 3: The Pride Charge

“Haughty eyes and a proud heart—the lamp of the wicked—is sin.”
    — Proverbs 21:4

    Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ How does pride show up in my temperament—through control, withdrawal, self-pity, or comparison?

    And,

    Hearing 4: The Talk Testimony

“Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.”
    — Proverbs 21:23

    Verdict Question:
๐Ÿ“ What tone or talk pattern do I need to surrender: sarcasm, over-talking, harshness, gossip, or silence?

These questions really made me pause and search my heart. I’m going to keep reflecting on them as I stay open to whatever God wants to show me—and let go of anything in me that’s not pleasing to Him. I definitely plan to dig into each one a little more.

Wishing everyone a beautiful, heart-searching kind of day—may we stay open, honest, and tender to what God is revealing.
