Week 7 — G: Gracious

Warm greetings, dear sisters! 🌸

What a blessing it has been to journey together through the attributes of God. Week by week, we have been reminded that our God is Almighty, Benevolent (Good), Compassionate, Deliverer, Eternal, and Faithful. Each study has helped us see His heart more clearly and trust Him more deeply.

If this is your first time joining us, warmly welcome! We encourage you to simply begin here and continue along with us. Feel free to also go back and read through the previous weeks whenever you are able.

This week, we joyfully turn our attention to God as Gracious—the God who pours out kindness, mercy, help, forgiveness, and favor far beyond what we could ever earn or deserve.

No matter where you are in your walk with the Lord right now, His grace reaches you.

As you move through this week’s study, take your time. Pause, reflect, pray, and allow these truths to settle deeply into your heart. The goal is not simply to complete another study, but to grow in awe of who God is and to draw closer to Him day by day.

May this week refresh your heart and remind you again of the beauty of God’s amazing grace.

G — Gracious

“The Lord is gracious and compassionate…” — Psalm 145:8

Focus for this week:

  • Seeing God as Gracious—the One who gives mercy, kindness, and undeserved favor.

Weekly Attribute Summary:

  • God is Gracious — He gives what we could never earn.

🌸 PROMPTS Bible Journey

SUNDAY — READ & REFLECT

🙏 Begin With Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your grace toward me. Open my heart to better understand Your kindness, patience, mercy, and undeserved favor.

📖 Read the Scriptures

(Return to these throughout the week)

“The Lord is gracious and compassionate…” — Psalm 145:8

“For by grace you have been saved through faith…” — Ephesians 2:8

“Let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace…” — Hebrews 4:16

“My grace is sufficient for you…” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

“The fear of the Lord leads to life…” — Proverbs 19:23

Let these scriptures remain with you throughout the day.

💡 Reflect

Take a few moments to reflect:

  • Where have you experienced God’s grace in your life?
  • How has God shown you kindness when you least expected it?

Picture This Attribute

  • Imagine receiving a gift you could never afford and never repay.
  • That is a small picture of God’s grace toward us.

🌸 Name It Before God

Is there an area of your life where you need to receive, rest in, or extend God’s grace?

Perhaps in:

  • forgiving yourself
  • showing grace to others
  • trusting God after failure
  • receiving His forgiveness
  • being patient with others
  • letting go of shame
  • asking for help
  • extending kindness
  • growing spiritually
  • trusting His mercy
  • your thoughts about yourself
  • your relationship with God

Bring that area honestly before the Lord today.

    TUESDAY — MEANING

    💡 Why This Matters

    Gracious (Hebrew: chanun)
Merciful, compassionate, showing favor and kindness.

God’s grace means He lovingly gives what we do not deserve.

    Grace is:

    • undeserved favor
    • loving kindness
    • mercy shown freely
    • help in weakness
    • forgiveness offered through Christ

God’s grace does not ignore sin, but through Christ He makes forgiveness and restoration possible.

    ✨ Attribute in Action

Jesus showed grace repeatedly throughout the Gospels—welcoming sinners, forgiving failures, and restoring broken people.

Grace does not excuse us from change; it lovingly draws us toward transformation.

🌱 Living in Light of This Truth

    Because God is gracious:

    • I can approach Him honestly
    • I can receive forgiveness
    • I can stop living in shame
    • I can extend grace to others
    • I can trust Him in weakness
    • I can rest in His mercy
May these reminders strengthen your heart today.
