Deliverer (Week 4) A-Z Praises to God

BIBLE READING LINK - For those reading through the Bible this year with LCC.

Warm greetings, dear sisters.

Thank you for journeying with us over the past three weeks as we have reflected on God as Almighty, Benevolent (Good), and Compassionate. It has been a blessing to grow together in seeing more clearly who He is.

If this is your first time joining us, you are most welcome. Feel free to go back to the previous studies, or simply begin here and continue along with us.

This week we are reflecting on God as Deliverer—the One who sees, intervenes, and brings His people through.

As we continue, we build on what we have already learned: the God who is all-powerful, perfectly good, and full of compassion is the very One who works in our lives to rescue, sustain, and bring us through.

Take this week at your own pace. Move through each section when you are able. Whether you complete one portion a day or several at once, let this be a meaningful time with the Lord.

SUNDAY — READ & REFLECT

P — Prayer

Lord, open my eyes to see You as my Deliverer. Help me to trust You personally and not just in what I know about You.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous runs into it and is safe.”
 — Proverbs 18:10.

Pause here and reflect on what the Lord has shown you. Continue tomorrow, God willing.

TUESDAY — MEANING

M — Meaning (Deeper Insight)

Deliverer (Hebrew: palat, natsal)
To rescue, to snatch away, to bring into safety.

Deeper Understanding:
God as Deliverer means He is not distant from your struggles—He steps in.

We often try to fix, control, or escape situations on our own.
But God as Deliverer reminds us that true rescue comes from Him—not from our own strength.

His deliverance is:

  • Relational — He cares deeply about you
  • Intentional — He responds with purpose
  • Active — He moves on your behalf

Deliverance may come:

  • Out of a situation
  • Through a situation
  • Within a situation by strengthening you

God’s deliverance is:

  • Timely — never late
  • Wise — according to His perfect plan
  • Complete — He finishes what He begins

Even when you do not see immediate change, God is still working.

Look back:
Where has God already delivered you in the past? Take a moment to remember.

Take a moment to sit with this truth.

On the WOW chat:

  • Type “Amen” if you agree that God as Deliverer means He is not distant from your struggles—He steps in.

Faith Declaration:
By faith, I trust You as my Deliverer in every situation.

Carry this with you today:
God is working, even when I cannot see it.

Today's Proverbs:
“He who gives attention to the word will find good,
and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.”
 — Proverbs 16:20

Pause here and let this truth settle in your heart. Return tomorrow, God willing.

WEDNESDAY — PRAISE

P — Praise (with Scripture)

Lord, I praise You because You are my Deliverer.
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer…” — Psalm 18:2

You are my place of safety and protection.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

You are my strength when I feel weak.
“The Lord is the strength of my life…” — Psalm 27:1

You see what I am facing, and You are not distant.
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you…” — Psalm 50:15

You are able to bring me through every situation.
“He delivered us… and will deliver us…” — 2 Corinthians 1:10

You are my refuge, and I can rest in You.
“In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge…” — Psalm 31:1

Take a few moments to continue in your own words. Let your praise rise from your heart.

Breath Prayer:
“Lord, be my Deliverer.”

On the WOW chat:

  • Post one of the praises above.
  • Or, post your own.

Carry this with you today:
The Lord is my refuge.

Today's Proverbs:
