💬 CHARACTERS

  • 🔴 Choleric: Bold, outspoken, easily frustrated by laziness

  • 🟡 Sanguine: Talkative, distracted, eager to please

  • 🔵 Melancholic: Thoughtful, reflective, easily weighed down by injustice

  • 🟢 Phlegmatic: Peaceful, quiet, tends to avoid conflict and confrontation

🌿 ACT 1: THE TRUTH REVEALS

Sanguine (cheerfully):
🎉 “Ladies! I underlined SEVEN verses in Proverbs 22! Soooo many nuggets! Listen to this one— ‘A good name is to be more desired than great wealth...’ (v.1). That hit me—’cause I love attention, but… am I chasing reputation or righteousness?”

Melancholic (nodding slowly):
📘 “That’s deep, Sandra. I marked that too. But verse 8... ‘He who sows injustice will reap calamity.’ It made me reflect on my reactions to unfair situations. I replay them too long in my mind.”

Choleric (leaning forward):
🔥 “Verse 13 shook me: ‘The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside…” Like, seriously? Excuses! I’m always pushing others to act, but this convicted me—I sometimes push too hard. I need to balance urgency with grace.”

Phlegmatic (smiling gently):
🌿 “I underlined verse 17: ‘Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise.’ I’m usually quiet, but I realized I can lean in more—not just to listen, but to apply. I avoid action out of comfort. That’s not peace—that’s passivity.”

🌿 ACT 2: TRANSFORMATION BEGINS

Choleric (pointing at the verse):
🔥 “Verse 24 says, ‘Do not associate with a man given to anger…’ Whew. What if I’m that person? I’ve lost my cool when I felt disrespected. But I’m learning to pause before I pounce.”

Sanguine (giggling, then pausing):
💛 “Girl, me too. Verse 5 made me think: ‘Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse.’ When I ignore wise counsel or jump into drama—it backfires. I'm learning to say no to things, even if it makes me seem ‘boring.’”

Melancholic (softly):
🔵 “I journaled verse 10: ‘Drive out the scoffer, and contention will go out.’ Sometimes... I scoff in silence, in my thoughts. I don’t say it, but I replay wrongs. I want to be transformed into someone who lets go.

Phlegmatic (nodding):
🟢 “Same here. Verse 3 really spoke to me: ‘The prudent sees the evil and hides himself…’ I hide, but not out of wisdom—out of fear. I want to discern and act, not disappear.”

🌿 ACT 3: DECLARATIONS OF CHANGE

All Together (with conviction):
📖 “Our temperaments may be different, but our transformation is the same—by the power of God’s Word!”

Choleric:
🔴 “I will lead with wisdom, not just drive.”

Sanguine:
🟡 “I will delight in truth, not just attention.”

Melancholic:
🔵 “I will process through prayer, not just emotion.”

Phlegmatic:
🟢 “I will seek peace through action, not just stillness.”

  1. Hello!
"This line really resonated with me: 'I’m always pushing others to act, but this convicted me—I sometimes push too hard. I need to balance urgency with grace.'
I don’t mean to come across as bossy—it truly comes from a place of care—but I’m learning that grace and patience must walk with my passion. I’m trusting the Holy Spirit to help me grow in this area."
    Good night!

  2. Good Morning,
This character like stood out to me: Melancholic (softly):
🔵 “I journaled verse 10: ‘Drive out the scoffer, and contention will go out.’ Sometimes... I scoff in silence, in my thoughts. I don’t say it, but I replay wrongs. I want to be transformed into someone who lets go.”

I have been praying a prayer of letting go recently, not only to let go but to speak the truth in love., and not "scoff" in silence. My words and thoughts matter .
