📖 Temperament Transformation
Self-Reflection Quiz — Proverbs 13

Dear Wisdom Seekers,

Before we begin today’s activity, take a few moments to prayerfully read Proverbs 13. Invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart and guide you into deeper awareness of the areas He is shaping in your temperament.

🧭 About Proverbs 13
This chapter continues Solomon’s wisdom-filled contrasts between the righteous and the wicked, the wise and the foolish, and the diligent and the lazy. It speaks powerfully to the importance of discipline, the influence of our words, and the company we keep.

🔑 Some key themes include:

  • The blessings of correction

  • The cost of laziness

  • The rewards of perseverance

  • The influence of relationships

  • The fruit of wisdom in daily choices

💡 Challenge for Today:
Let the Word of God be a mirror, not just a window. Ask yourself:
“What direction is my temperament naturally pulling me—and what direction is the Spirit leading me?”
True transformation happens as we submit our natural responses to the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Instructions:
Kindly read and answer the five questions below and share in the comment section the one that truly stood out to you—and if you feel like sharing why, please do so.

  3. Good morning all!!

    Self-Reflection Quiz — Proverbs 13

    4. “One who walks with wise people will be wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm.” – Proverbs 13:20

How do you choose the people you surround yourself with?
I gravitate to strong, goal-driven individuals who challenge me.

For me, it’s really about energy and values. I naturally gravitate toward people who are driven, passionate, and always striving to better themselves. I admire those who have clear goals, but who also stay grounded and kind in the process. I find that being around people who challenge me to think differently or push me to level up helps me grow into a better version of myself. I appreciate honesty, support, and a shared mindset of continuous growth. At the end of the day, I want to be around people who inspire me, who I can learn from, and who bring out the best in me, just as I hope to do for them.

    Have a great Friday!!

    Self Reflection Quiz

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” – Proverbs 13:12
How do you respond when your hopes or expectations are delayed?

    * B) I become discouraged but try to stay upbeat or distracted.

Hope is expectation of something desired. If the thing you desire is not obtained in the time expected, your heart and soul are grieved and pained by the delay. But when the desired thing finally arrives, it is a tree of life: your heart and soul are encouraged and revived. These two aspects of hope are true in all matters, both spiritual and natural.
It always a challenge for me when I don’t get what I want , but as a growing Christian I have learnt to know my wants from my needs , also learning to acknowledge God in all I do , so he will give me my hearts desire .. his will be done and not mines ..

    Happy Friday Everyone .. 🌺

    Ques#5
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”
    – Proverbs 13:12
I paused at question 5 for a while of all the questions
How do you respond when your hopes or expectations are delayed?

I reflected on how I really respond to my expectations that are delayed . I was going back and forth between answer A/D, because my tendency now is to find a solution if there is one ,Even while feeling disappointment .
I thank God for is grace and the work of the Holy Spirit ,a while back I was led to pray this scripture verse psalms 5:3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
This verse keeps my anxious heart centered on God and reminds me that He Listen to my prayers and he will respond in his timing to my circumstances
So I can be still ,wait in faith hope and trust the process
Not easy but God is able .He Knows what we need !
Have a wonderful weekend ladies .

  9. Goodnight everyone! I read proverbs 13 today and answered the reflection questions.

The reflection question that stood out to me was:
“The soul of the lazy one craves and gets nothing, but the soul of the diligent is made prosperous.” – Proverbs 13:4
How do you handle tasks or goals you want to accomplish?
    C) I’m consistent, though I may overthink and delay starting.

This verse is a good reminder to me to be diligent in accomplishing my goals. As a melancholic, I cannot allow my tendency to overthink to prevent me from starting/accomplishing whatever task I may have to do. Success and prosperity can only come when I act and complete what I start.

Have a goodnight and great weekend everyone~
