🟡🔴 Understanding the Sanguine/Choleric Blend - May 12

🟡🔴 Sanguine/Choleric Blend

🌿 Temperament Topic: Energized with Intention
— Aligning the Sanguine/Choleric Blend with God’s Pace and Purpose

Good day, Wisdom Seekers! 👋🏾

I can see the smile on your face Sister Debbie!

Thank you to all who shared your insights and support for our Sanguine/Phlegmatic sister yesterday. Your reflections were a beautiful reminder that joy and peace are powerful spiritual traits when anchored in the Spirit. 💛💚

✨ As always, you are encouraged to simply show up today. There’s no need to catch up — just lean into what God is doing now. If you're led to go back and share later, that’s welcome too!

📅 Today, May 12, we focus on the 🟡🔴 Sanguine/Choleric blend. These sisters are dynamic, driven, and full of life. They carry contagious energy and bold leadership — and when yielded to the Spirit, they become powerful forces for good.

👭 Sisters with this blend:

Alison and Debbie

Let’s surround them with gratitude, prayers, and affirmations today!

🔍 Understanding the Sanguine/Choleric Temperament

This blend is a vibrant spark of excitement and direction. These women are warm, fun-loving, and naturally gifted with influence. They are confident in groups, persuasive in conversation, and quick to take the lead. But while they shine publicly, they may battle with internal pride, emotional neglect, or impatience with others.

Their transformation comes from learning to slow down, listen deeply, and submit their drive to the timing and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. It’s not about losing their fire — but about letting God direct it.

🌟 Strengths:

  • Energetic • Confident • Visionary • Persuasive • Motivating • Quick-thinking

⚠️ Growth Areas:

  • May dominate conversations • Struggle with humility or patience • Neglect follow-through • Resist correction

🕊️ Why Yielding Matters:

  • This blend thrives on action — but without yielding, they may charge ahead of God’s timing. Surrender helps them trade control for impact and ego for effectiveness.

💡 Core Needs:

  • Respect • Affirmation • Influence • Freedom to express ideas and take initiative

💔 Discouragement Triggers:

  • Feeling ignored • Being micromanaged • Not being taken seriously • Facing criticism in public

🔥 Under Stress:

  • They may become bossy, irritable, dismissive of others' feelings, or push too hard without pausing to reflect.

💞 How They Love:

  • By taking action, offering encouragement, helping solve problems, and showing up with bold enthusiasm

👥 In Groups:

  • They often lead instinctively, spark momentum, and bring clarity. They may need reminders to slow down and consider others' perspectives.

🤔 Common Misunderstandings:

  • They may be seen as self-centered or impatient — but often, their strong personality is just a reflection of their desire to see progress and bring results.

🙏 Spiritual Strengths:

  • Courage • Leadership • Influence • Zeal for change • Bold faith

💬 How to Encourage Them:

  • Celebrate their drive while gently reminding them that strength with humility is powerful. Help them see that being led by the Spirit is greater than being impressive.

⚠️ Temperament Traps:

  • Pride • Impulsiveness • Controlling tendencies • Inconsistent spiritual depth

➡️ Transformational Goal:

  • To shift from self-powered drive to Spirit-directed leadership — to move not just with speed but with purpose, not just with charisma but with character.

🛐 Prayer Focus for Today:

  • Pray that our Sanguine/Choleric sisters will surrender their pace to God’s process. May they embrace humble leadership, Spirit-led action, and emotional depth. Ask God to temper their fire with His wisdom and to use their boldness for Kingdom breakthroughs.

💬 Today’s Blog Reflections:

  • 💡 What is one thing you learned that will help you relate more thoughtfully to someone with this blend?
  • 🌿 If this is your blend, what truth or “aha moment” stood out to you today?
  • 🙏 Write a short prayer — either for someone with this blend or for yourself, if it applies.

  1. Good Morning Ladies..
    Our Turn! Our Turn! 😂😂😂😂

Sister Penny, you know me well.
Before I saw your note, yes once I saw it was my blend, I smiled. 🙂

It’s a bit scary to see how I am portrayed so well in the various groupings.

Let me start by saying, I am working in the area of dominating a conversation. 🙂So I was able to pinpoint where my weakness lies. You see, I find some people take too long to respond to a question when asked by the facilitator. My pet peeve is the long waiting period for the answer. 🤣 This is where I have to be patient and wait.

This point in the blend really resonated with me. “They may be seen as self-centered or impatient — but often, their strong personality is just a reflection of their desire to see progress and bring results”
WOW! This is me to the core. I’m like that at home, and even when I’m out.
Case in point, on Saturday, a group of us were out at a Mother”s Day Event. Once we got there I saw there were things to get done before the event started, so I took initiative and began asking my ladies to jump in, assigning various tasks for them to do. So, as I meditated on the event yesterday, I recalled where I asked the ladies to help out in preparations with the food and decorations. I wondered if I was being bossy.
However, reading this about our blend, that we like taking initiative, it helped me understand myself a bit more. It’s true, I thrive on action. I like to see things get done. “My motto with my family, work first, play later.” Sadly, living by this motto, most times I miss out on the fun.
Also, yielding to the Spirit of God is a daily work in process, because I’ve noticed when I don’t yield to the Holy Spirit, I sometimes charge ahead of His timing which 99.99 % leads to disappointments.
Also understanding my blend, helped me to firstly, appreciate myself for who I am. And secondly, to be patient with others, never try to form others inside my “mode” .

I’m able to see where I had beaten up on myself because I didn’t understand myself, and even where I had become offended by others' comments regarding what I would do.

I encourage my fellow “Blender”❤️ sister Alison to let’s seek to improve where improvement is needed, and let’s seek to be the best version of ourselves of who God made us to be.

    Prayer:
Father God, This morning, I lift up both Sister Alison and myself before You.
We surrender our lives completely into Your capable and loving hands.
Lead us, guide us, and shape our steps according to Your perfect will.
Teach us to walk humbly, Lord never assuming we know it all,
never placing ourselves above others. Let our hearts remain teachable, tender, and aligned with Your truth.
May we embrace leadership not for status or control,
but with humility, service, and grace.
Empower us to lead with courage and compassion,
to act not by impulse, but by Your Spirit’s direction.
Temper the fire within us, Lord,
with the wisdom that comes from Your heart.
Let our boldness not be reckless,
but refined focused on bringing breakthrough
    for Your Kingdom purposes.
Give us emotional depth to feel with others, to listen well,
and to respond in love even when it's hard.
May our passion be anchored in Your peace
and our strength clothed in gentleness..
In the powerful name of Jesus we pray,
    Amen.

    Have a Fantastic day ❣️

Taking a look at the Sanguine/ Choleric Blend

    Sister Debbie & Sister Allison
Sister Debbie I admire your confidence and the way your able to speak in a crowd . I have to say the strength areas that was outlined couldn’t be further from the truth , Energetic • Confident • Visionary • Persuasive • Motivating • Quick-thinking I agree with them all , sometimes the way you speak you just amaze me , it’s like there’s no fear of being judged or misunderstood and I really commend you ..
I remember you gave a sermon on July 14th 2024 and it was so profound “ Holiness is still the standard” that day I went home and I had to give my takeaway on how you flawlessly exposed yourself , my takeaway from that sermon “1st Peter 13:14
As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
That day I really thanked God for the word he delivered .
Sister Debbie continue in the way of the lord I believe that he already set that precedent for you a long time ago ..

Sister Allison a powerful women of prayer
You dominate in many of the areas mentioned and like sister Debbie your not afraid to speak 🗣️ I want to encourage you in the way of the lord even though your more seasoned than I am I still believe that there is room for growth , remain steadfast !

On relating to this blend on a better level I myself wouldn’t like to be felt ignored or not taken seriously so I will not in any way try to make someone of this blend feel this way .

    Aha”
These women are warm, fun-loving, and naturally gifted with influence. They are confident in groups, persuasive in conversation, and quick to take the lead

Father lord I lift up these two powerful women before you , help them oh lord to surrender they life pace to your process , help them lord to trust in your timing and your direction and may it be in alignment with what you want for there lives , help them lord to embrace a mindset of grace and peace as you guide them through life’s journey .

    Hello everyone
    Understanding the Sanguine/ Choleric Temperament
Sis. Debbie, it is insightful to read deeper into your Temperament. You are really passionate about the things of God and often wants to have results ASAP.
I got some clarity as to how you function under stress.

Sis, Alison, I saw you in person a few weeks ago and you definitely have that energy.

I pray that as you identify your Temperament blend that you will allow the Holy Spirit you continue to work in you as He enhances your strong qualities as He works on tempering your fire with His wisdom. In Jesus name. Amen
