🌿 Week 14 — N
🚶♀️ Walking with God
Discovering the Attribute of God: Near
"The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth."
— Psalm 145:18 (NLT)
🌸 Welcome, Ladies!
Thank you for your participation in last week’s study. Whether you joined us through the King’s Court, the Love Letters, or shared your reflections with your Titus Team, thank you for faithfully continuing this journey of discovering who God is.
Before reading further, please pause now and kindly post on the WOW Chat: “I am enjoying learning about the attributes of God.”
This week, we are taking a walk.
Not a hurried walk.
Not a destination-focused walk.
But a quiet walk with God.
As we journey together, imagine yourself walking beside your Heavenly Father. Along the way we will stop to pray, read His Word, observe His character, reflect on His nearness, respond in faith, give thanks, and encourage one another.
Take your time with this study. Please plan how you will schedule your reading, whether in one sitting, over two days, three days, or throughout the week.
You are encouraged not to leave everything until Saturday, so you can give yourself time to reflect, pray, and fully engage with the study.
Pause often.
Reflect deeply.
If you wish, step outside for a short walk, sit by a window, or find a quiet place where you can simply enjoy God's presence.
Our goal is not simply to learn that God is Near, but to become more aware of His nearness in our everyday lives.
📷 A Special Invitation This Week — My Nearness Moment
As we "walk with God" this week, we'd love to make this journey a little more interactive.
At some point during the week, take ONE photograph that reminds you God is near. Or, use ONE that you already taken.
It doesn't have to be spectacular. It may be something as simple as:
🌅 A sunrise or sunset
🌸 A flower or tree
🚶♀️ A walking path
📖 Your open Bible
☕ Your favourite place for devotions
🌧️ Rain after a storm
🏡 A quiet corner in your home
😊 A special moment with family or friends (with their permission)
🍃 Or anything else that quietly reminds you of God's presence.
You are invited to share your "Nearness Moment" on the WOW Chat on Saturday.
If you would like, you may add a brief caption such as:
"This reminds me that God is near because..."
"God is near."
"A reminder of His presence."
"He walks with me."
"The Lord is close."
"Nearness Moment."
"Thank You, Lord, for being near."
Or, if you prefer, simply let your photograph speak for itself.
We look forward to seeing how each of us experienced God's nearness through the ordinary moments of everyday life.
Once you have read the invitation above, please let us know by copying and pasting the following on the WOW Chat:
✅ I have read and understood the invitation.
Thank you!
🌅 Stop 1 — The Starting Point
🙏 P — Prayer
Before beginning today's walk, spend a few quiet moments talking with the Lord.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for inviting me to walk with You today.
Open my eyes to recognize Your presence.
Quiet my heart.
Help me to hear Your voice above every distraction.
Remind me that I never walk alone because You are always near.
Draw me closer to You as I draw near to You.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
📖 Stop 2 — The Trail Map
R — Read
Read these passages slowly.
Psalm 145:18 (NLT)
"The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth."
Psalm 34:18 (NLT)
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)
"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you.
He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you."
Read each passage more than once.
As you read, imagine yourself walking beside the Lord.

🌿 Selah Moment
Pause here.
Take a slow breath.
Look around you.
Notice something that reminds you that God is near.
Don't forget your Nearness Moment photo this week.
When you're ready, continue your walk.
🌸 Stay the course in the Word.
🌳 Stop 4 — Sit on the Bench
💡 M — Growing Deeper
Walking with someone allows us to know them better.
The same is true with God.
His nearness is not simply about His presence.
It is about His relationship with us.
God is not a distant observer.
He is a loving Father who walks beside His children.
He is near:
when we rejoice,
when we wait,
when we grieve,
when we are uncertain,
when we need wisdom,
when we feel weak,
and when we quietly whisper His name.
His promise is not that life will always be easy.
His promise is that we will never face it alone.
💭 Heart Reflection
Where do you most need to remember that God is near today?
Perhaps it is:
a decision,
a relationship,
your health,
your family,
your future,
a burden you've been carrying,
or a season of waiting.
Spend a few quiet moments talking with God about that area.

Before moving on, stop again.
Read this slowly.
The Lord is close...
Close enough to hear.
Close enough to comfort.
Close enough to strengthen.
Close enough to guide.
Close enough to love.
Rest in that promise for a few moments.
🌸 Stay the course in the Word.
🚶♀️ Stop 5 — Take the Next Step
🌱 P — Practice
Walking with God changes the way we walk through life.

ReplyDeleteThe attribute of God that is especially strengthening my faith this week is His Near:
One of my favorite verses is Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” As I was meditating on this verse this week, it took on a deeper meaning. I realized that God is a very present help because He is near. He is not distant or unaware of what I am facing. He is close at hand, ready to strengthen, comfort, guide, and help me in every situation.
And for this I say, Thank You LORD!!!!
Have A Great Day
Happy Saturday Ladies,
ReplyDeleteThe attribute of God that is especially strengthening my faith this week is, He is Near.
It is very comforting to know that My Lord and Saviour is near me always. My mind kept going back to that all week. God is with me in this very moment. WOW!
One of my morning prayers is: God before me and prepare the way, go with me and be with me. This week’s attribute brought that prayer back to me. Just to envision Him walking beside me, as He walked with the disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Thank you, Sister Penny, for the reminder that our Heavenly Father is near us.
Thank you Lord for Your nearness.
God is Near!
Welcome!
DeleteGood day everyone,
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
The truth that encourages me this week is:
God never leaves or abandons me.
The attribute of God that is especially strengthening my faith this week is Near
Because looking back through the whole study I am reminded that God nearness is not simply about His presence.
He is a loving Father who walks beside (me) and going through every situation with me. He is also close to the brokenhearted which gives me hope, that I don‘t have to worry and feel alone. He is near.
It feels like I have learned a new word, couldn’t stop repeating “Lord thank you for being near.
Thank you, Sis Penny, for helping me to see and understand God ‘s nearness through this journey.
Thank you Lord.
Have a peaceful day.
Welcome.

Hello ladies,
ReplyDeleteThe truth that encouraged me this week was: God is close to those who call on Him.
There were moments this week when I would remind myself that God is near and I would call on Him for direction and peace.
The attribute of God that has especially strengthened my faith this week is that God is near, because, as I mentioned, there were several times this week where that reminder brought me comfort.
Have a great week
