LOVE ( WEEK 11) A-Z PRAISES TO GOD

🌿 Week 12 — L

❤️ The Love Letters of God

Discovering the Attribute of God: Love

"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." — 1 John 4:8 (KJV)

Warm greetings, dear sisters! 🌸

Thank you for your participation in last week's study on K — King. I trust the Lord used it to encourage you to think about His loving rule and to ask yourself:

"If God is truly King, am I allowing Him to reign in every area of my life?"

This week, we are doing something a little different.

Instead of entering the King's Court, we are opening a collection of love letters.

Each section of our familiar PROMPTS study will be presented as a letter.

Some letters are written to God.

Some letters come from God's Word.

Some letters are invitations to reflect, praise, give thanks, and encourage others.

Take your time with this study.

Read slowly.

Pause often.

Reflect deeply.

There is no need to complete everything in one sitting.

This study is meant to remind us that God does not merely have love.

God is love.

❤️ P — A Prayer Letter to God

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I begin this study, open my heart to understand Your love more deeply.

Help me not merely to know that You love me, but to believe it and rest in it.

Quiet my fears.

Silence my doubts.

Teach me to receive Your everlasting love.

Help me to love You more because You first loved me.

Love,

Your Daughter

"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." — 1 John 4:8

"He will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love." — Zephaniah 3:17

Love,

Your Heavenly Father

Is it:

  • Everlasting?

  • Faithful?

  • Sacrificial?

  • Pursuing?

  • Comforting?

  • Unchanging?

❤️ M — A Love Letter of Meaning

Dear Daughter,

The Greek word for love in these passages is:

Agape (ah-GAH-pay)

Meaning:

  • self-giving love,

  • sacrificial love,

  • unconditional love,

  • steadfast love,

  • love that seeks the good of another.

I do not merely have love.

I am love.

My love is not based on your performance.

My love flows from My character.

I loved you before you loved Me.

I loved you before you sought Me.

I loved you before you understood My plans.

And I love you still.

Love,

Your Heavenly Father

❤️ P — A Love Letter of Praise

Dear Father,

I praise You because You loved me first.

I praise You because Your love never fails.

I praise You because You pursued me when I was far from You.

I praise You because nothing can separate me from Your love.

I praise You because I am deeply known and completely loved.

Your Daughter
