Dear Wisdom Seekers,
As we continue our journey toward Christlike transformation, let us reflect on the treasures within Proverbs 11. This chapter paints a powerful picture of the kind of upright, humble, and wise living that the Holy Spirit produces in us when we yield to His leading. It contrasts the righteous and the wicked, the humble and the proud, the generous and the greedy—and it reminds us that character matters deeply in the eyes of God.
Each of you brings a unique temperament to this journey. And each temperament has strengths to steward and weaknesses to surrender. Let's take a closer look at what Proverbs 11 may be whispering to your heart.
π΄ To the Choleric Wisdom Seekers
"When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom." – Proverbs 11:2 (NASB)
Dear Cholerics,
Your God-given drive and leadership are needed in the Kingdom. But beware of letting your confidence slip into pride or self-sufficiency. The Holy Spirit is inviting you to exchange control for surrender, dominance for discernment. Humility doesn't weaken your strength—it redeems it. Let God guide your ambition and purify your motives.
Ask yourself: What decision am I making right now that needs to be filtered through humility rather than personal will?
π‘ To the Sanguine Wisdom Seekers
"A gracious woman attains honor, and ruthless men attain riches." – Proverbs 11:16 (NASB)
Dear Sanguines,
Your enthusiasm and charm light up the room. But sometimes the craving for approval can cloud your discernment. God calls you to live with integrity, not just likability. The Holy Spirit wants to help you mature your joyful heart into gracious wisdom that lasts beyond the moment. Choose truth over flattery, even when it's hard.
Ask yourself: Am I seeking God’s applause, or people’s approval?
π΅ To the Melancholic Wisdom Seekers
"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them." – Proverbs 11:3 (NASB)
Dear Melancholics,
Your deep thinking and moral compass are a gift to the Body of Christ. But the weight of idealism can become a burden if you don’t allow grace to balance truth. Don’t let fear of imperfection paralyze your progress. The Spirit wants to guide your heart gently, not harshly. Allow His integrity to lead—not just your analysis.
Ask yourself: Have I let fear of failure keep me from moving forward in faith?
π’ To the Phlegmatic Wisdom Seekers
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise gains souls." – Proverbs 11:30 (NASB)
Dear Phlegmatics,
Your peaceful, steady presence is a quiet strength. But comfort can become compromise if you avoid confrontation or hard decisions. God is stirring up a holy boldness in you—not to be loud, but to be faithfully present and fruit-bearing. The Holy Spirit wants to transform passive peace into active peacemaking. Step up, speak truth, and sow life.
Ask yourself: What “small” step of obedience have I delayed that could yield eternal fruit?
π In Closing…
Proverbs 11 is not just a contrast between good and evil—it’s an invitation to become more like Jesus through the Word and the Spirit. As we meditate on this chapter, may each of us—regardless of temperament—surrender our natural tendencies to God's supernatural transforming power.
Let the Holy Spirit convict you where needed, comfort you where weary, and challenge you where you've become complacent. He is faithful to finish the work He started in you.
π Let’s reflect together: What part of this letter resonated most deeply with you and why? How is God inviting you to grow through Proverbs 11 this week - share the verse or comment further?

A wonderful Wednesday to all!
Greeting fellow Wise Women,
ReplyDelete"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them." – Proverbs 11:3 (NASB)
Melancholic/Choleric
"Don’t let fear of imperfection paralyze your progress."
This part of the letter resonated deeply with me, as a Melancholic, I am identified with the tendancy to overthink and often find myself being driven by the need to be perfect.
This can definitely hinder my spiritual growth and progress.
However, the book of proverbs teaches me to be gentle, kind, humble, and to walk in integrety. Becoming more like Christ through his word
God is inviting me to grow through proverbs 11 this week, by allowing His Holy Spirit to gently guide my heart, as He leads me through His word rather than wasting precious time in deep thoughts and analysis.
Blessings y'all!!
Amen Sister Glenda , allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as the lesson thought last night , only so we would see transformation.. bless day .. πΊ

ReplyDeleteGood Morning WS
Wisdom Wednesday ❤️
Proverbs 11
This part of the letter resonated most deeply with me.
“The Holy Spirit wants to help you mature your joyful heart into gracious wisdom that lasts beyond the moment.”
Over the past few months, God has been encouraging me through His Word, especially Nehemiah 8:10, which says, “Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
This morning, I was reminded again that true joy doesn’t come from people, it comes from God. It’s not based on circumstances, approval, or outcomes. It flows from His presence and His promises.
The Holy Spirit is gently inviting me to let that joy mature into something deeper: a gracious heart. A joyful heart that overflows with grace creates room for peace to flourish in my life.
And I want that, a heart that is not only joyful but also gracious, rooted in God’s strength, and at peace no matter what comes.
Questing: How is God inviting you to grow through Proverbs 11 this week?
Proverbs 11:11 says,
"By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,
but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down."
I came across a commentary that perfectly expressed what I’ve been sensing in my spirit:
“Wisdom brings joy to the city because it unites people and they prosper. Folly brings grief because it tears people apart and they languish.”
That line stayed with me.
This week, I believe God is inviting me to be someone who builds up rather than tears down to look for ways to bring unity, not division. As followers of Christ, we are called to live out His kingdom agenda in our everyday interactions. That means loving God deeply, loving our neighbors sincerely, and letting that love influence how we engage with our communities.
It’s a reminder to live Proverbs 11 with the purpose to be a blessing, a unifier, and a voice of life in a world that too often leans toward tearing down.
Have A Fantastic Day π
Sister Debbie as I read your post I thought about having joy unspeakable, as Christians we should be joyful not allowing anyone to steal our peace , we should be joyful in the times when we have nothing knowing that he is our provider , thanks for sharing from the heart ..
DeleteAmen Sister Debbie.

As I read through the letter this morning as a Melancholic, this part resonated most deeply with me - Don’t let fear of imperfection paralyze your progress.
Sometimes I find myself so afraid of making mistakes that I hesitate to move forward at all. I worry if I don't do it perfectly or if every detail isn't exactly right, then I’ve somehow failed or fall short. That fear can leave me stuck, questioning my every decision, overanalyzing every step, and feeling overwhelmed by the weight of responsibility.
But I’m learning to realize that perfection isn’t always the requirement, faithfulness is. God doesn’t expect me to always have it all figured out before I move. He's simply asking me to trust Him enough to take the next step. Even if my progress feels small, messy, or uncertain, it is still progress. His grace covers my imperfections, and His strength is made perfect in my weakness.
I don’t want fear to have the final say. I want to walk forward, trusting that God can work through my imperfect efforts and turn them into something beautiful for His glory.
How is God inviting me to grow through Proverbs 11 this week.
This week, I sense that God is inviting me to grow in humility and integrity.
In verse 2, He reminds me that pride opens the door to downfall. Pride can make me rely on myself, my knowledge, my strength and my need to control outcomes. But God is gently calling me to choose humility to admit that I don’t have all the answers, and to depend on His wisdom, not my own understanding. Humility creates space for God to lead, teach, and correct me.
In verse 3, God is also inviting me to let integrity be my guide. Integrity means being honest not only with others but also with myself. It means living consistently with my values, even when no one is watching. It's a steady, quiet faithfulness that keeps me aligned with God’s heart.
I feel God saying:
"You don’t have to carry the weight of being perfect. Stay humble, stay honest, and I will guide you. Trust Me more than your own ability to figure things out."
Have a beautiful day!
Sister Cindy this here is what stood out to me ,,
DeleteBut I’m learning to realize that perfection isn’t always the requirement, faithfulness is, if only we remain faithful it’s amazing the things that would work in our favor , being faithful even in the storm , cause after a storm there is a surely a calm
Amen Sis Cindy,

The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them." – Proverbs 11:3 (NASB)
What part of the letter resonated with me … this part right here !
Don’t let fear of imperfection paralyze your progress.
Many times I want to take chances , go out there be bold In my decision making , but fearful that it won’t work out , and just the fact that I had that fear it truly never worked out , because I allow myself to become paralyzed in the moment, over the month I took a bold step with something I had have problems in getting through with in the past and thankfully it all worked out , however it took a lot of yielding to the spirit, being patient and just allowing God to work things out for me , and I keep hearing the scripture in my head be anxious for nothing but with prayer and supplication make my request known.. so I always say it’s a work in progress ..
How is God inviting you to grow through Proverbs 11 this week ..
As I read through proverbs 11 this morning this is verse that stayed with me
2: When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
And it really took me into some deep thinking , I believe the worse thing anyone can have is pride , it will cost you more than any other character fault , Conceit will deceive you into folly, which will quickly and surely shame you.
Being humble though , oh being humbleπ will
lift you up before both God and good men.
Here is a little piece on pride a character we do not want to have ..
Taken from an excert.
Pride thinks you are important. Pride enjoys conversations and events about you. Pride believes your thoughts and opinions are right. Pride resents correction and instruction. Pride envies the advantages, abilities, or honors of others. Pride ignores asking others for advice. Pride looks down on others.
Let’s not be prideful ..
Bless Wednesday Everyone .. πΊ
Amen Sis Alanda,
DeleteThat voice in your head is indeed the Holy Spirit leading and guiding you through. And I stand with you in your statement" it took a lot of yielding to the spirit, being patient and just allowing God to work things out for me" This is indeed progres in your transformational journey.

Scripture
Proverbs chapter 11 verses 25
It reads, a generous person will prosper, whoever refreshes others will be refreshed
It's very simple, God loves when we give love only, serve others with our resources and care . As we do that we will be bless also.
Question
Which part of the letter resonate most deeply with you and why
Answer
I choose truth over flattery even if it hurts.
Why
The Bible warns us against flattery and the use of it.
Flattery is a tool of deception and manipulations.
It lead people astray and cause harm to both individuals
Proverbs chapter 26-28 tells us that a lying tongue hates those it crushes and a flattering mouth caused ruins therefore I Alison Palmer have decided to choose truth at any cost because it lead me to a deeper and more meaning relationship with others and finally truth builds trust and respect among bother giver and recovers.
Have a bless day every one
Peace
Sorry for errors the word is receiver

Thank you ladies for sharing from the heart. Great responses. Sister Alanda this is a profound quote on "pride".
ReplyDeleteHello Ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat part of this letter resonated most deeply with you and why?
“Humility doesn't weaken your strength — it redeems it.”
This line truly stood out to me because it’s a powerful reminder to remain humble, even when it’s not the popular or easy choice. It challenges me to live out Proverbs 11:2 — “Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” This scripture encourages me to choose humility as a path to wisdom, not weakness.
How is God inviting you to grow through Proverbs 11 this week?
I believe God is inviting me to grow in humility this week. He is gently showing me that haughtiness is not wisdom and certainly not profitable. He’s calling me to slow down, look beyond others' faults, and instead see their needs — to respond with gentleness and compassion, and to bear with one another in love. This journey is so refreshing, and I thank God for how He is transforming my heart through His Word. Sister Alanda, this quote is truly a great reminder to remain humble and to avoid the way of pride. Thank you and thank you everyone for your wonderful responses.

Proverbs 11:2-3
When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
What “small “ step of obedience have I delayed that could yield eternal fruit?
Neglecting to read and reflect on scriptures when prompted, delaying spiritual nourishment. Hesitating to offer help or support when needed, waiting until it’s convenient.
This can cause me to miss opportunities for growth, blessings or divine guidance.
Blessings to all you wonderful ladies.

Proverbs 11
This is the part of the letter that stood out to me.
Don’t let fear of imperfection paralyze your progress.
There are things I want to do, things I would like to accomplish, but I hesitate to do them. I overthink the process and therefore don’t get anything done.
Ask yourself: Have I let fear of failure keep me from moving forward in faith?
Yes, I have allowed fear of failure hinder me from growing in my faith.
In my prayer lite, when I think I don’t pray well enough or I don’t have the right words to pray.
Holy Spirit of God my helper, help me not to allow fear of imperfection to paralyze my progress in faith, Lord , I surrender my natural tendency to You. I pray that Your transform me from the inside out. it is no by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of God.
Sleep well!

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the one who is wise gains souls. Proverbs 11:30.
The part of the letter that resonated most deeply with you and why?
The Holy Spirit want to transform passive peace into active peacemaking. Set up, speak truth, and sow life.
Because the Holy Spirit is there to maintain peace, and show us how to live according to the word of God. It is there to also guide, protect and lead us, my desire is to allow the Holy Spirit to transform me as I am preparing myself to be active in the thing I do for Him.
Set Up, spiritually to begin my day with him in prayer and the word.
speak truth, let my “yes be yes” and my “no be no” I should speak truth to others don 't matter what it cost.
Sow life, I should encourage others and don't tear down. Every word that I speak is seed that is sown.
How is God inviting you to grow through Proverbs 11 this week?
God wants me not to lack in judgment, but to understand his word and to hold my tongue from speaking negative things.
Proverbs 11:12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.
