"Don’t tell me you’re strong when the sun is shining—show me when the storm won’t stop."
- Contrast Each Temperament:
- Choleric wants to take over, but God says, “Wait on Me.”
- Sanguine wants to run away, but God says, “Stand and speak.”
- Melancholic wants to retreat, but God says, “Hope and build.”
- Phlegmatic wants to pause forever, but God says, “Move in faith.”
- "Trouble ain't your end—it’s your test, your tempering, your transformation."
- "Tenacity ain't just survival—it’s faith that fights back with wisdom, worship, and a Word."

[Intro – Voice of Wisdom]
If you faint in the day of trouble, your strength is small…
But God didn’t form you small—He formed you strong.
Not by might, not by muscle,
But by grace to press on when the battle is long.
This is not just about survival…
This is temperament revival.
🔴 Choleric Clara
She storms in like thunder—commanding the sky.
A natural-born leader, she’ll do or die.
But when life won’t bend to her control,
She clenches her fists instead of her soul.
Tenacity for her? It’s not in the push—
It’s in the pause, the wait, the hush.
God says: “I’m not impressed by power plays.
Trust Me in the silence. That’s strength that stays.”
🟡 Sanguine Sandra
She laughs through life, light on her feet,
But when storms come—she’s quick to retreat.
Trouble? She’ll joke. Discomfort? She’ll dodge.
She’ll change the topic, switch the lodge.
But tenacity, Sandra, is facing the fire.
Even when your joy expires.
God says: “Don’t escape with charm and cheer—
Endure with Me. I’m still right here.”
🔵 Melancholic Marla
She’s deep like oceans, layered and wide,
But overthinks storms till she’s paralyzed inside.
Perfection’s her prison. Details her chain.
She rehearses the sorrow, magnifies pain.
But tenacity is not the perfect plan—
It’s trusting God more than she understands.
God says: “Build anyway. Begin through the blur.
I am the Author. Trust what you heard.”
🟢 Phlegmatic Paula
She’s steady, sweet, unshaken by wind,
But in crisis, she waits... again and again.
She’d rather delay than deal with the war,
Hide in her comfort, ignore the roar.
But tenacity, Paula, isn’t just peace—
It’s pressing forward when ease must cease.
God says: “You were born to rise, not nap.
Put your hand to the plow. Time to unwrap.”
💥 [Bridge – Unity Call]
Trouble comes dressed in shadows and fear,
But the Wisdom of God makes the path clear.
It’s not about who’s the loudest or fastest—
It’s about who stands when the storm is the blackest.
This ain’t temperament weakness, it’s spiritual might—
Temperament transformation ignites in the fight.
🕊️ [Final Charge]
So don’t you fold, don’t you faint,
Don’t you sit back and let fear paint
your story.
You were made for glory.
Temperaments transformed in the fire’s test—
Tenacity in Trouble is when we give God our best.
🔥 Proverbs 24:10 is not your warning—it’s your wake-up.
Now tell your temperament:
“I’m not tapping out. I’m toughened up in Truth.”
🔍 Reflection Question:
When was the last time you felt like giving up in a moment of trouble—and how did your temperament respond?
- Did you try to control it? (Choleric)
- Did you avoid it? (Sanguine)
- Did you overthink it? (Melancholic)
- Did you delay or disengage? (Phlegmatic)
🙏 Temperament Transformation Prayer: Tenacity in Trouble
Father God,
You see the truth behind my temperament—my habits, my hesitation, my hidden fears.
When trouble rises, I confess that I don’t always rise with it.
But today, I receive Your call to tenacity—not my strength, but Yours.
Let Your Spirit teach me how to endure, to stand firm,
To wait when I must wait, and to act when I must move.
🔥 Transform my temperament:
- Teach Choleric courage in stillness.
- Teach Sanguine strength in silence.
- Teach Melancholic hope in progress.
- Teach Phlegmatic power in purpose.
Anchor me in Your wisdom. Let Proverbs 24:10 echo in my spirit:
“If I faint in the day of trouble, my strength is small.”
But with You, Lord, my strength is being made mighty.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Good morning to everyone

After Reading Proverbs 24 this is the verse that resonates with me
Proverbs 24:10
If you falter in a time of trouble,
how small is your strength!
No one wants to go through adversity but it’s inevitable we would all want to run away from it , but these are the times when our faith and strength is truly measured .
It would be a lie to say that living a Christian life is easy but we must be reminded of Gods promise to us in times of difficulty.
Nothing worth doing, nothing worth having comes without your grit and grind being put into it. I remember this song as I reflect on this Hillsong's Worship titled New wine, the lyrics have spoken to be on many levels but reflecting on these words had brought the following front of mine.
"In the crush, in the pressing you are making new wine, in the soil I now surrender you are breaking new ground.
So I yield to you and to your careful hands when I trust you I don't need to understand.
Sometimes we need to remember what maybe a falter when we think it's time of trouble we could see as new wine and we are being pressed.
I'm not saying do not search the spirit in the times we falter but with grace go to him oh Lord and you will know the time of trouble is a season and great things are coming out of that pressing "NEW WINE"
Have a blessed day everyone
Sister Alanda.
DeleteYou are such a good writer. I love the lyrics of that song. When we come through, we'll be like fine wine. 😀😀😀
Si Alanda, I love this piece "So I yield to you and to your careful hands when I trust you I don't need to understand."
DeleteBe encouraged my dear.

Reflection Question:
When was the last time you felt like giving up in a moment of trouble—and how did your temperament respond?
I would have to say over the last few months. However, the Lord allowed me to read this same verse from Proverbs 24:10. Although I read this verse before, at that moment, it really spoke to me. A couple days later, He allowed me to read a devotional with this same scripture verse. I was in awe. The encouragement from that reading allowed me to hold on and don’t give up.
Honestly, I do try to avoid moments of trouble.
When I read in the spoken word. “Sanguine wants to run away, but God says, “Stand and speak.” I thought this was so true.
However, I’m seeing how the Lord is helping me during these hardships and troubles. His word is truly and lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. 🙂
Sis. Debbie, I agree with you, we have to avoid moments of trouble indeed!!
DeleteGreeting to my fellow Wisdom Seekers,
ReplyDeleteToday is Temperament Transformational Thursday -Tenacity
"Don't tell me you're strong when the sun is shining - show me when the storm won't stop."
Wow !! This is a powerful statement and according to Carlos Wallace;" It's been said that actions speaks louder than words. Sometimes, it is what you don't say or do that sends the loudest message."
Proverbs chapter 24
The Verse for today is Verse 16 "For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity."
* Reflection Question- blog:
When was the last time you felt like giving up in a moment of trouble—and how did your temperament respond?
Ans: A couple weeks ago.
My response ( Melancholic Temperament): I began to process things and was overwhelmed with deep thoughts about the situation rather than taking it to God as my first act of obedience. But, as a child of God, I ought to be intentional and always be on my guard, knowing that my natural tendencies can lead to anxiety, fear, overthinking and overachieving. My perfectionistic desires, deep thoughts and actions can hinder my spiritual growth and even cause me to shut down in challenging times. However, today, I am reminded that I need to trust God more, and follow His leading in every situation.
* Todays question for the chat; How does God helps us rise after failure?
Ans:
By loving us unconditionally; and because God loves us He is able to forgive us and accepting us as we are. He also helps us to rise by forgiving us and giving us an opportunity to repent, and to correct our mistakes and wrong doings.
He is not concerned about our physical out look, but he is more concerned about the state of our heart.
Have a blessed day you all !!
