Days 182–212

Happy Canada Day!

Thank you for reading along with us in June. We trust you were blessed and are applying the truths of God’s Word to your life.

This month reminds us that God is always at work—whether in seasons of restoration, rebuilding, teaching, or waiting.

Some chapters may seem focused on lists, records, or details. Yet even these remind us that God knows His people, remembers His promises, and works faithfully through every generation.

As you read, look for God’s faithfulness, His holiness, and His desire to dwell among His people.

Pray simply:

“Lord, help me to see Your faithfulness in every chapter and to serve You with a willing heart.”

🌿 Monthly Overview

This month completes 2 Chronicles, where we witness the spiritual highs and lows of Judah's kings, the reforms of faithful leaders, and ultimately the exile that results from persistent disobedience. Yet even in judgment, God's mercy and covenant faithfulness remain evident.

We then move into Ezra and Nehemiah, where God begins restoring His people after exile. These books highlight worship, repentance, rebuilding, leadership, prayer, and renewed commitment to God's Word.

By the end of the month, we begin Esther, where God's providence is quietly at work behind the scenes to preserve His people.

In the New Testament, we complete Colossians, journey through 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and begin Hebrews. These letters encourage believers to stand firm in faith, pursue godliness, guard sound doctrine, and fix their eyes on Christ.

MERCIFUL (WEEK 13) A-Z PRAISES TO GOD

 


🌿 Week 13 — M- Merciful

Key Scripture:
“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.”
— Psalm 103:8

Dear Women of Wisdom,

Thank you for your participation in our last attribute. Each week, as we pause to reflect on who God is, we are not just gaining knowledge — we are learning to worship Him more deeply, trust Him more fully, and live before Him more intentionally.

This week, we continue our journey with the letter M — Merciful.

God is merciful. He is full of compassion, tender in His dealings with us, and gracious in His response to our weaknesses. Mercy reminds us that God does not treat us as our sins deserve. Instead, He reaches toward us with forgiveness, patience, kindness, and love.

As we reflect on God’s mercy this week, let us ask ourselves:

Reflection Question

If God is merciful to me, am I extending mercy to others?  Take some time to think about your answer. Feel free to journal your response.

P — Pray

Begin with prayer.

Ask the Lord to open your heart as you reflect on His mercy. Invite Him to help you see His mercy more clearly and to help you respond with humility, gratitude, and obedience.

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, thank You for being merciful, compassionate, and slow to anger. Thank You for not treating me as my sins deserve, but for dealing with me in love, patience, and compassion. Open my heart this week to receive Your mercy and to extend mercy to others.

R — Read

Read Psalm 103:8–12 slowly. Choose any Bible version you wish to read from, and share on the WOW Chat the version you read.

As you read, notice how God’s mercy is described. Pay attention to words and phrases such as merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in mercy, and removed our transgressions.

Reading Prompt:
What phrase from this passage (Psalm 103:8–12) shows you the greatness of God’s mercy?

Observe what this passage teaches about God’s character.

God’s mercy is not small, limited, or reluctant. His mercy is abundant. He is not quick to anger. He is gracious and compassionate. He removes our sins far from us.

M — Meaning

Mercy means that God lovingly withholds the judgment we deserve and gives us compassion instead.

God’s mercy does not mean He ignores sin. It means He provides forgiveness, restoration, and hope through His loving character and redemptive work.

Thank God for His mercy in your life.

Think of the times He forgave you, protected you, corrected you gently, restored you, and gave you another opportunity. His mercy has carried us more than we even realize.

Lord, thank You for the mercy You have shown me again and again. Help me never to take Your mercy for granted.

Warm greetings, dear sisters! 🌸

Thank you for your participation in last week's study on K — King. I trust the Lord used it to encourage you to think about His loving rule and to ask yourself:

"If God is truly King, am I allowing Him to reign in every area of my life?"

This week, we are doing something a little different. 

Instead of entering the King's Court, we are opening a collection of love letters.

Each section of our familiar PROMPTS study will be presented as a letter.

Some letters are written to God.

Some letters come from God's Word.

Some letters are invitations to reflect, praise, give thanks, and encourage others.

Take your time with this study.

Read slowly.

Pause often.

Reflect deeply.

There is no need to complete everything in one sitting.

This study is meant to remind us that God does not merely have love.

God is love.
