Greetings and Howdy do!
π A Morning Conversation Among Sisters
This morning, five of our Wisdom Seekers sisters—Claudia, Laura, Hazel, Debbie, and Alynthia—gathered for coffee and conversation after last night’s study on Mark 12:31. What started as a recap turned into a Spirit-led reflection on Proverbs 10 and the power of walking in wisdom.
Claudia opened with a gentle thought:
“Mark 12:31 sounds so simple, but it cut deep when we discussed how temperament affects the way we love.”
The group nodded in agreement, especially as they recalled Tim LaHaye’s teaching that temperament is rooted in the natural man—not the spiritual one. That means we don’t get to excuse bad behavior as "just our temperament."
Laura, a Melancholic-Phlegmatic, added:
“I can’t excuse my silence or overthinking just because I’m Melancholic. I need to be Spirit-led.”
Hazel, the Melancholic-Sanguine blend, chimed in thoughtfully:
“My quiet reflection and outgoing side often clash—but real love isn’t about preference. It’s about obedience.”
Then came Debbie, our vibrant Sanguine-Choleric, who laughed but admitted with sincerity:
“I love people—but my Choleric edge? Whew! If I don’t pray over my words, I can bulldoze instead of bless.”
The group turned their hearts toward today’s chapter—Proverbs 10—which spoke volumes about how wisdom is shown through speech, diligence, integrity, and kindness.
π‘ Key Wisdom Moments from the Group:
πΉ “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life…”
— Claudia reflected on the power of words. She asked herself, “Am I speaking life, or just staying quiet and calling it wisdom?”
πΉ “In a multitude of words, sin is not lacking…”
— Debbie felt that one deeply. “That verse was me. My temperament likes to talk—so I need extra discipline to be wise with words.”
πΉ “One who walks in integrity walks securely…”
— Alynthia shared this verse reminded her that loving well starts with living right. “When my walk is secure, my love becomes sincere.”
πΉ “Blessings are on the head of the righteous…”
— Laura connected this to the way wisdom protects and multiplies good in our relationships.
πΉ “The wise of heart will receive commands…”
— Hazel added, “Humility is the foundation of wisdom. When we stay teachable, we stay transformable.”

Reflection Questions:
1. Which character in today’s skit did you relate to the most?
π‘ Debbie, realizing she needs to slow down and guard her words?
I am so very grateful for this process of life I am in, where God is pruning me in the area of too much talking. I realized, I don’t always have to say something, I can learn to be silent. Keeping silent never killed anyone, on the flip side, too much talking can.
There are times, if I am in the company of someone and there is silence, I sometimes get the urge to say something, but then I will hear Lady Wisdom saying, “You don’t have to fill in any gap, stay silent,.” And I do, I listen to her. π
2. What area is God highlighting for you to apply wisdom today?

Good day WS!
ReplyDeleteAt this stage of my temperament transformation, I often wonder if staying silent is truly wise—or if I’m simply avoiding the risk of being misunderstood. Claudia’s question in the skit really resonated with me: “Am I speaking life, or just staying quiet and calling it wisdom?” That’s something worth pondering.
I deeply relate to Claudia—questioning whether my silence is born of wisdom or merely a form of self-protection. If I’m honest, much of the time, it’s more about self-preservation than true discernment.
But recognizing this is a step toward growth. I believe God is highlighting that I need to apply wisdom not just in whether I speak, but how I speak—choosing words that build up rather than shutting down to guard my own feelings. True wisdom isn’t just about silence—it’s about speaking with grace, truth, and love.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
you are so right LG !

π’ Claudia, wondering if silence is truly wisdom or just self-protection?
Am I speaking life, or just staying quiet and calling it wisdom? This question had me thinking today.
Sometimes I use silence as just self- protection but I am learning that by speaking up I will be able to uplift someone.
The area God is highlighting for me to apply wisdom today is to walk with more humility and integrity in my daily life.

Hi ladies,
ReplyDeleteI’ve listened to Proverbs 10.
The character I found most relatable was Laura. When I reflect on my temperament, especially my weaknesses, I sometimes feel discouraged, even a little fearful of digging deeper. It’s like reading about myself gets overwhelming, and I shy away from it. But I’m learning that true transformation requires humility. There’s nothing wrong with being a work in progress, as long as I’m willing to listen, reflect, and welcome the necessary changes. In other words allowing the Spirit of God to lead.
Hence, one of the areas I think God is highlighting for me to apply wisdom is D-Walk with more humility and integrity in daily life.
As well as B-Practice diligence and not rush through tasks, Proverbs 9 really spoke through this.
Trusting the Proverb!
