FRIDAY

M → Meaning (interpreting the text) 🔎 -

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”

 Proverbs 18:21 (NASB 1995)

Complete the Meaning (M) segment today, Friday 5.

Proverbs 18:21 is short, but it carries enormous weight.  Take your time to ponder its meaning.

Your words have real agency. What you habitually speak can either nourish or poison—shaping relationships, reputations, and even your own inner life. Because we “eat the fruit” of our speech, we eventually live in the world our words helped create.

  1. Key terms (quick Hebrew)

    “Death and life”

    • Maveth (death) isn’t just physical death but destruction, ruin, despair. Chayyim (life) is not mere existence — it’s vitality, flourishing, and well-being.

    • Words can either destroy confidence, joy, peace, and reputations or breathe healing, hope, and blessing.

    • Jesus affirms this in Matthew 12:37: “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

  2. “Are in the power of the tongue”

    • Yad (power) means “hand” — symbolizing strength, authority, and control. Literally “in the hand”—control/agency.

    • Lashon (tongue) — speech/words.

    • James warns us: “The tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!” (James 3:5–6).

  3. “Those who love it”

    • Ahav (love) means to delight in or pursue.

    • Those who love to use their tongue (i.e., frequent talkers) or who relish speaking; they will experience the outcomes of their words.

  4. “Will eat its fruit”

    • Fruit (peri) means the outcome or harvest. Words are seeds that will grow into realities. We cannot escape the harvest of what we sow with our tongues.

    • Luke 6:45 confirms: “Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

Meaning in a sentence

Your words carry real authority. Use them often enough, and you will taste the harvest they create—either life-giving or life-draining.

💡 Interpretation:

Words are powerful seeds with lasting consequences. They reveal the heart, shape relationships, influence futures, and determine outcomes. As Charles Bridges said: “The tongue may be Satan’s forge or God’s harvest field. Our choice is whether our words create ruin or bear righteous fruit.

Literary context (Proverbs 18)

This chapter circles speech: listening before answering (18:13), gossip’s damage (18:8), quarrels, and testimony (18:17). Verse 21 is the climax—words don’t just comment on life; they shape it.

Theologically

Scripture consistently links words and destiny—not as magic but as moral causation under God’s order (cf. Prov 12:18; 15:4; 13:3; Matt 12:36–37; Eph 4:29; James 3). Words can bless, heal, guide, or they can deceive, divide, and destroy.  (Please read the scripture references.)

How this lands today

  • Direction: Words steer choices (“steering wheel”).

  • Climate: Words set the relational atmosphere (“thermostat”).

  • Seeds: Words plant outcomes you’ll later “eat” (“fruit”).

  • Surgery: Words can cut or cure (“scalpel”).

Common misreadings to avoid

  • Not “name-it/claim-it.” This isn’t carte blanche (blank card/sheet) to speak anything into existence; it’s wisdom about consequences of speech within God’s providence.

  • Not silence-only. The answer isn’t never speaking; it’s truthful, gracious, timely speech.

Four quick images to remember it:

  • Seeds: Words plant futures.

  • Steering wheel: Words set direction.

  • Thermostat: Words set the climate.

  • Scalpel: Words can heal or harm.

One-sentence summary

What you keep saying shapes the world you end up living in.

  • “If words are seeds, what kind of harvest are your words planting right now—life-giving or life-draining?”

  • “Which of the four images (seeds, steering wheel, thermostat, scalpel) best describes how you’ve seen words shape your relationships this week?”

  • “What fruit from past words are you ‘eating’ today—and how does Proverbs 18:21 challenge you to plant differently?”

  • “Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?”
🌅 Closing Thought
  • That’s it for today. Take time to quietly meditate on what you’ve read and let it sink deep into your spirit. Come back on this page tomorrow, God willing, as we continue the journey together.

SATURDAY

P → Practice

Complete the
Practice (P) segment today, Saturday 6.

🗣 Words-in-Action Toolkit

  • 1. Pause → Pray → Proceed
Before a hard conversation, stop and breathe a short prayer. Invite God to guard your tongue and guide your tone.

    2. THINK Filter
Run your words through this filter:

    • T – Is it True?

    • H – Is it Helpful?

    • I – Is it Inspiring?

    • N – Is it Necessary?

    • K – Is it Kind?

    3. The 3:1 Rule
Aim to offer three encouragements for every correction you give. This builds up instead of breaking down.

    4. Swap Scripts
Replace blaming phrases like, “You always…” with constructive words:
    👉 “When ___ happens, I feel ___; could we ___?”

    5. Bless Aloud

Speak one life-giving sentence over someone—by name. Let them hear words that strengthen and refresh.

  • 🟡 Sanguine (Talker)

  • 🌿 Challenge
From today, pause before you speak. Choose one moment each day to intentionally replace exaggeration with a word of true encouragement.

    I Statement
💬 I will pause before I speak and choose words of encouragement over exaggeration.
👉 Carry this declaration with you throughout the week — and always.

    One-Line Prayer
Lord, set a guard over my mouth and fill my tongue with life, that my words may build up and give grace (Psalm 141:3; Ephesians 4:29). Amen.

🔴 Choleric (Leader)

🌿 Challenge
From today, when tempted to speak sharply, pause and reframe your words with gentleness. At the end of the day, ask yourself: Did my words build up or tear down?

I Statement
💬 I will use my words to build up, not break down, and speak with love even when firm.
👉 Carry this declaration with you throughout the week — and always.

One-Line Prayer
Lord, set a guard over my mouth and fill my tongue with life, that my words may build up and give grace (Psalm 141:3; Ephesians 4:29). Amen.

🔵 Melancholic (Thinker)

🌿 Challenge
From today, replace one criticism a day with a word of affirmation. Train your eyes to notice the good, and let your tongue highlight it.

I Statement
💬 I will replace criticism with compassion and choose to affirm the good I see.
👉 Carry this declaration with you throughout the week — and always.

One-Line Prayer
Lord, set a guard over my mouth and fill my tongue with life, that my words may build up and give grace (Psalm 141:3; Ephesians 4:29). Amen.

🟢 Phlegmatic (Peacemaker)

🌿 Challenge
From today, choose to speak up where you’d normally remain silent. Pray for courage, then let truth flow from your lips with gentleness.

I Statement
💬 I will speak truth with gentleness instead of hiding in silence.
👉 Carry this declaration with you throughout the week — and beyond.

One-Line Prayer
Lord, set a guard over my mouth and fill my tongue with life, that my words may build up and give grace (Psalm 141:3; Ephesians 4:29). Amen.

✨ Reflection & Journaling Prompts

  1. Life or Death?
Where did my words breathe life and encouragement this week? Where did they, even subtly, drift toward criticism, gossip, or discouragement?

  2. Harvest of Words
What “fruit” am I tasting today that was planted by the words I spoke weeks, months, or even years ago? Is it sweet and nourishing—or bitter and heavy?

  3. A Tongue Assignment
If my tongue were given one mission today, what phrase would I choose as its guiding assignment? (e.g., “Build up, don’t tear down” • “Grace will be on my lips” • “Speak truth in love”)

  1. Greetings Sisters,

    September 3 – Read
As I reflected on the Word, the Lord reminded me of the power of my tongue. Verses stood out to me: “The tongue of the wise brings healing” (Prov. 12:19), “A soothing tongue is a tree of life” (Prov. 15:4), and “The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver” (Prov. 10:20). Then Proverbs 18:21 brought it all together: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

I realized afresh that my words can either heal or harm, build up or crush. My prayer is to let my tongue be a source of life—to bring healing, to soothe, and to shine with the value of choice silver.

    September 4 – Observe
Another truth that struck me was from Proverbs 18:21 in its deeper meaning. The Hebrew word for love—ahav—means to delight in or pursue. Those who delight in words, whether wise or foolish, will eat the fruit of them. That brought renewed awareness to me. I must be intentional to pursue wise words, because careless or foolish words carry consequences that can wound others.

This week I am asking God to discipline my tongue so that my speech consistently reflects His wisdom and love. May my words bring life.

    September 5 – Meaning
Before answering the question, I want to note how much the study of the key words enriched my understanding of the Proverbs 18:21. Looking at each one individually truly brought fresh insight.

Question: “Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?”

Answer: I sense God nudging me to use my words as a tool for healing toward a relative I have often found difficult to converse with. After prayer, I felt a peace about trying again to speak with this individual—not to argue, but to bring awareness to a situation that needs to be addressed. This time, however, I want to be especially mindful of my tone and word choice. My desire is to exhibit gentleness, to bring life and not death.

The Hebrew word maveth (death) reminds me that death is not just physical—it can mean destruction, ruin, and despair. In contrast, chayyim (life) speaks of vitality, flourishing, and well-being. That truth challenges me to be intentional: my words should not tear down but instead breathe healing.

I also found the following notable:
“Words can either destroy confidence, joy, peace, and reputations or breathe healing, hope, and blessing.”

I believe, with God’s help, my words can breathe healing and hope in this situation.

This was truly a soul-searching study for me.

I read Proverbs 1 to 7 and was blessed again as I gained more wisdom from the chapters.

Wishing everyone a wonderful rest of the day and a blessed time of corporate worship.

    1. Thank you for sharing, Sister Penny. What you said really caught my attention: “I must be intentional to pursue wise words, because careless or foolish words carry consequences that can wound others.” Isn’t it something how much control the tongue has—that it can even destroy relationships? This is why we must allow the Holy Spirit to be the guard over our mouths. When we yield to Him, our words can bring life, healing, and peace instead of harm.

  2. * “Power of words
    * 🌺Wednesday
    * There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.” — Proverbs 12:18
After carefully reading this passage I had to ask myself , after I was finish speaking to someone did I allow them to bleed 🩸 or grow ? And likewise the other way around . After learning about the temperament though I learnt that some people only know harsh words whete as others speak graciously , and as a growing Christian I must always speak with grace atleast it identifies me in some way or another . I find that I even draw persons closer to me when I speak in that manner ..

    🌺Thurday
    Observing the text

What is the “fruit” of the tongue?
    Meaning: Fruit = outcome, harvest.
Answer: We will live with the results of our words — blessing or curse.
We would live with the results of our words , why it resonated with me ,this has become a daily habit for me , I speak positively throughout my day especially when it comes to my business , I notice that harsh criticism or ill spoken words can daunt your day ..

🌺Friday Meaning interpreting the text .
Which of the four images (seeds, steering wheel, thermostat, scalpel) best describes how you’ve seen words shape your relationships this week?”

Thermostat : to control temperature, an automatic device for regulating temperatures.

This week really caused me to reflect and as I reflected this verse came to mind ,
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

In essence what language am I speaking, am I to build up or tear down , can I say am a positive person and speak words negatively do I want my mouth to become a death trap ?
Absolutely not ! The devil takes pleasure when he gets you at your weakest point and I was reminded this week that giving in to him means he gets the victory i have to remain strong .

    Saturday : Thanksgiving and practice

💬 I will replace criticism with compassion and choose to affirm the good I see.

    GO Deep 💎

    WEDNESDAY Sept 3rd

    R → Read

This phrase from the verse stood out to me:

“But the tongue of the wise brings healing.” — Proverbs 12:18

As I read this verse, I became more aware of how powerful my tongue truly is. A picture came to mind from moments with my children. I noticed how, depending on the words I spoke, their facial expressions would change immediately.

When I chose to speak more positively, I began to see some beautiful changes:

❣️They were quicker to share things with me.
❣️They were less fearful of how I might respond.
❣️They were no longer withdrawn from me.

    4. What is the “fruit” of the tongue?
    Meaning: Fruit = outcome, harvest.
Answer: We will live with the results of our words—whether blessing or curse.

    Answer:
I didn’t mean to say that.” I’ve said those words, and I’ve heard others say them too. But when I look at this verse, I realize the tongue only speaks what is rooted in the heart. Whatever fruit is growing there—whether bitterness or grace—will eventually come out through my words.

There have been moments when I had to live with the consequences of what I said. Those experiences have taught me the weight and power of words. With the help of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of God’s wisdom, I’m learning to see my tongue not as a weapon but as a tool—a tool to bless, to encourage, and to bring life rather than hurt or curse.

    FRIDAY Sept. 5th

    M → Meaning (interpreting the text) 🔎

    Question:
Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?

    Answer:
Most of my challenges with using words wisely come within my relationships with relatives and family. I’m noticing how God is teaching me to respond with grace and love, even when my natural reaction would be the opposite. Honestly, I had never taken the time to study this verse in depth before, but doing so has opened my eyes to the true power of words.

There’s one particular person where, no matter what I said, I rarely received a favorable response. Then one day, I felt God nudging me to shift my approach—to be more intentional with the words I chose. Over time, I noticed a change in how that person interacted with me, especially through our text messages.

My biggest takeaway is this: the real issue wasn’t the other person. It was me. I needed to change my approach. — and I did. Today, I am experiencing the fruit of a healthier relationship.

Yes “I read Proverbs chapters 1 through 7, and I found that the Proverbs feel ‘new every morning.’”

The Power of Words - Proverbs 18:21

    Go Deep

    Wednesday
This week as I read the study it was truly a “boy oh boy” moment for me, It was so hard to choose just one phrase or verse because they all stood out to me in ways it hasn’t before. Getting deeper in God and in his word brings new insights.

These verses remind me how powerful words are—they can cut or they can heal. I want my words to bring life and encouragement, not harm, and for them to reflect God’s wisdom and grace

    from Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue”
This hits home for me because it shows me how much what I say matters. I know my words can either build someone up or really hurt them. It’s a reminder for me to be careful and try to speak life, not just say whatever comes to mind, which is so easy to spew out.

    Thursday
The observation question and answer that stood out most to me and why it resonated :

What is the “fruit” of the tongue?
    Meaning: Fruit = outcome, harvest.
Answer: We will live with the results of our words — blessing or curse.
We ought to be careful with our word, just like planting a seed and waiting to see what it'll bear so we can harvest, so too, our word when we put it out there can either lift up or tear down and most times, once it's out there, there's nothing we can do to take it back and so we have to live with the consequences, weather it’s good or bad.

    Friday
“Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?”

I sense God is nudging me to be more careful with my words in moments of frustration or when I feel misunderstood. It’s so easy to let my tone or choice of words cut deeper than I intended. But instead of reacting sharply, I feel Him calling me to pause, breathe, and respond in a way that brings calm rather than tension.

This stayed with me - What you keep saying shapes the world you end up living in.

    I have read Proverbs 1–7

      Power of words: proverbs 18:21
This week was a challenge with all different news in the media. I’m happy to report that I was able to encouraged with words of healing and not hurt.
As Christians we really have to LIVE the WORD. We must be LIGHT and SALT.

      Observation question and answer
Power of words : can create or destroys
What we say can lead to positive outcomes such like: life, blessings, growth
It can also lead to negative outcomes: death, ruin and strife
The phrase “those who love it will eat its fruit “ this is a warning that we’re accountable for our words and will eventually experience the results of our speech.
      Let us encourage and uplift
Be mindful of our speech: think carefully about the impact of our words before we speak. Guard our heart and tongue. Don’t allow our thoughts and words to take root with in us, because it will flow into our speech.
      Let us take responsibility
Acknowledge that we are accountable for the consequences of our words and let us strive to use it for good.
      I have read proverbs 1-7

    2. Sister Cindy, as a Sanguine, what you shared really spoke to me: “I know my words can either build someone up or really hurt them. It’s a reminder for me to be careful and try to speak life, not just say whatever comes to mind, which is so easy to spew out.” That is such a needed reminder. We truly have to be intentional in the way we speak to others, and I’m learning this daily. Thank you for sharing and for the encouragement your words bring.

    3. Sister Maria, this is truly something we all need to think about. Thank you for bringing it to our attention: “Those who love it will eat its fruit.” What a clear warning that each of us must be accountable for the words we speak, especially in moments of anger or frustration. We have to remember—we will eventually eat the fruit of those words.

Yes, I will be praying for you, that the Lord will strengthen you to grow in patience and grace, especially when frustrations arise.

    Power of Words
    Proverbs 18:21

    Read

From the supplementary reading Proverbs 12:18 this phrase stood out to me
"There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword"

This phrase is meaning to me because I remember back then especially when upset I will say the worst things to people not thinking about their feelings ,things that I know will hurt them deeply .That's why I take this phrase to heart, and I am more aware of what i say letting my words be positive, kind, gentle and bring healing to others.

    Observe
The observation question and answer that stood out to me is:
What is the fruit of the tongue?
We will live with the results of our words- blessings or curse.
This stood out to me because whatever I speak about others or into my life negative or positive I will have to live with the results. Words are powerful so I have to be very careful how I use them.

    Meaning
Steering wheel( words of direction) best describes how I have seen words shape my relationship this week. This week I used my words in a positive and calm manner to help someone see a situation in a different light and they were able to make a good decision. At the end the individual said me " I have been noticing a difference in you in the last few months, tell me what you are doing". I did share my Transformational progress. To God be the glory.

    Practice
    Melancholic

    I Statement
💬 I will replace criticism with compassion and choose to affirm the good I see

    Thanksgiving

    For the Melancholic:
Lord, thank You for the depth and insight You’ve placed in the Melancholic. Turn criticism into compassion, and may words of wisdom heal, comfort, and build up. Amen.

    I have read Proverbs 1-7

  6. Good morning ladies! What a wonderful study on the power of words!

    ✅ R – Read
“There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.” — Proverbs 12:18
This verse was meaningful to me because it reminds me that my words can and should bring healing to those around me. This week as I did the devotional and prayerfully read the passages, I was able to see how powerful my words can be. My words can be used as a sword and cause damage, or my words can be used a form of healing. I was encouraged this week to really be mindful of my words and to make a conscious effort to use my words to bring healing.

    ✅ O – Observe
The observation question and answer that stood out to me most was:
    - What does Solomon mean by “death and life”?
    - Meaning: Death (maveth) = ruin, destruction, despair. Life (chayyim) = flourishing, vitality, wholeness.
    - Answer: Words can plant despair or inspire life.

The deeper understanding of what 'life' and 'death' mean helped shape my understanding of the power of words. Our words may not cause physical death, but it can cause ruin, destruction, or despair. We've all had experiences where words destroyed relationships and caused feelings of despair. Knowing that my words can cause such pain, I (through the help of the Holy Spirit) will guard my words. The meaning of 'life' really stood out to me and motivates me to use to my words to bring wholeness to others and help them flourish! It's amazing to know that through my words, I can bring vitality and wholeness those around me and help them flourish.

    M – Meaning
“Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?”
I am sensing God is nudging me to use my words to heal. As I read the devotional this week, God prompted me to ‘bless’ my kids/family. By speaking blessings over my loved ones, I can use my words to heal them and ask God to bless them. Knowing that I can use my words as a tool to bring healing, blessing and restoration to my family is exciting! Using the Words-in-Action Toolkit, I sat Timothy and Tiffany down and spoke a blessing aloud over them. Although I would normally bless them during my personal prayer time, there was something wonderful about speaking life-giving words over them so they would hear it and be blessed!

✅ “Where would you like us to pray for you this week on your transformation journey?”
I would like prayer for greater consistency in my transformation journey. I can clearly see how God is transforming me through the Word, but I just need to be consistent in setting aside time for prayer and studying the Word so the transformation can continue.

Have a great week everyone - I look forward to reading your responses~

  7. Proverbs 18:21 NIV
[21] The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

As I listen to Proverbs 1-7 this week it really drew my attention to how powerful I am as a believer. How much authority I have at the tip of my tongue. This caused me to think about how I can I learn from my past and how can I ensure a difference as I move forward.

    Observation/meaning

    perîy
    boughs, full reward, first
    Question
“Where do you sense God nudging you to use your words as a tool for healing rather than harm?”

    Observation/Interpretation

✨To be ruin means destruction , my tongue carries finality of many things it can set the stage for rubbles and a final resting place. Death can mean I have caused this thing or situation to die based on my words and it can also mean I have done so much damage to the person's self esteem.

✨I can give hope with my words if I choose to,
The meaning of life is alive or living. I My tongue can help bring healing.

✨My tongue carries authority and dominion. It is not just a physical part of my body rather it is a weapon, it can be a weapon of life or one of destruction. This power that was given to me, through my tongue means to take charge, I am the only one that can wheel this weapon, I am in charge of it. I was given the authority to wheel it with wisdom or wheel it otherwise.
This power "the tongue" can be a wedge, it can be a fork of Flame, it can be a babbler.

    What is a wedge:
A wedge is a simple machine that tapers to a thin edge from a thick end and is used to separate, lift, or secure objects by converting a force applied to its blunt end into forces perpendicular to its inclined surfaces. It is one of the six simple machines and functions like a portable inclined plane, reducing the force needed to split materials like wood and rocks, or to hold things in place.

Wow!! this is quite interesting, my tongue is a wedge. My tongue can be the glue that
    hold others together.

✨My tongue has two options, I can allow my tongue to love life or to love death.
If am allowing my tongue to love life I will go all the way out, I will be so affectionate with it, it's like a love relationship, I love it so much I will do anything to keep it going, I speak speak good things into it. On the other side if I allow my tongue to love death I will also do everything thing to see it flourish, I will also be affectionate to it by speaking life into it causing destruction as I move along. On both side it become my beloved thing.

My tongue is small but is quite large metaphorically . My words are very ladden as a believer and my fruit is the crop that was yielded from what I have sowed, it is my full reward, it's ladden with bad fruits, my branches should be ladden with lush beautiful fruits but if I choose death my crop will reflect death.
    Matthew 12:36 AMP
[36] But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak.
My nudging is to speak life to my family, to my friends to be careful in my moments of stress, that I use my tongue to uplift.
✨ Pray that I wheel my tongue in wisdom and always fear of the LORD.

  8. Hello everyone,
    Happy Sunday
    Go deep:
When I read Proverbs 12:18 There is one speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, this phrase is meaningful to me. Because I realize how powerful my words can be. When I think how a sword can pierce into someone and leave them wounded, it makes me think of my words when I used them carelessly or in anger it could create the same impact on others. It also reminds me to be careful of my words and to think before I speak. I don’t want my words to hurt or put a scar on anyone. I will be mindful of the words I speak and tone in which I respond to others.

    Thursday O- Observe:
What is the “fruit” of the tongue?
    Meaning: Fruit=Outcome, harvest.
Answer: We will live with the results of our words- blessing or curse.
It resonated with me because what we say has consequences blessings or curse. But encouraging words can lift someone up, proverbs 18: 21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. The fruit is what we reap from the words we speak, weather its good or bad. I would use my tongue to speak words that are kind, encouraging, truthful and blessings, these words bring life to others and reflect God.
    Friday M- Meaning
“What fruit from past words are you ‘eating’ today- and how does Proverbs 18:21 challenge you to plant differently?”
Today I see the fruit of my past words in the way some relationship carries scars or distance because of things I ‘ve said without thinking. At times, in my anger I use sharp words that have left others hurt and now I feel the weight of those wounds. Proverbs 12: 18 challenges me to not keep planting the same kind of words that pierce like swords. Instead, it calls me to sow words that brings blessings and healing.
    Saturday
    I read Proverbs 1- 7
I would like prayers to remain focus so that I will not be easily distracted.

    Wednesday: Read
One sentence on how I will live today
Today I will let my words bring nourishment.

    Thursday: Observe
The observation question and answer that stood out to me most is:
What is the fruit of the tongue?
    Answer:
We will live with the results of our words - blessing or curse.

    Friday: Meaning interpreting the text:
    Question:
“What fruit from the past words are you eating today, and how does Proverbs 18:21 challenge you to plant differently?”
    Answer:
The fruit I am eating today from my past words is: I never thought of myself as having a good penmanship. Even when others say to me you have a nice handwriting, I never thought it was good enough. Today when I write my hand shakes and as a result I have trouble forming my letters properly. This is all because I spoke negatively into my ability to write.
How does Proverbs 18:21 challenge you to plant differently?
Now that I am living the out come of my negative declarations. I promise myself from now on, to speak truth into my life and others. By being conscious of what I say when I speak. I promise myself not to speak carelessly, but to encourage myself and others.

Saturday “My Words are seeds - I will plant life.”
If my tongue were given one mission today, what phrase would I choose as its guiding assignment?
The phrase i will choose is: “Grace will be on my lips.”

Where would you like us to pray for you this week?
Pray that the words I speak will align with God”s truth, and that I will continue to be consistent in every area of my Life. Thank you!

  12. Sister Laura, your insight that words steer relationships is both practical and profound.

My prayer for you is that you will allow the Lord to guide your speech so that you can continue to plant life. Thanks for your input.

  13. Sister Maria I am responding here to you because I could not post under your name.
Your call to responsibility is a timely reminder that we cannot escape the harvest of our speech. Thank you for your input.

Lord, root Maria deeply in Your Word. May her speech reflect patience and grace that glorifies You. Amen.

  18. Sister Maria this stood out to me strongly, when you said we must think carefully about the impact of our words. Thank you for that. Sometimes I do not think about the impact of my words in the moment. As you push on, on your journey of transformation May God continue to allow wisdom to flow from your speech always. Blessings
